Ladies' LWML Lydia Group

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is an official auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Since 1942, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.
Please Join Us!
We encourage all women members of Messiah to join us as we look for new ways to serve others and proclaim the joy of Christ.
We meet the first Sunday of each month following Worship Service in the Fellowship Hall. Our meetings are brief but powerful (an hour or less) with a devotion and plans for upcoming monthly mission projects. We hope to see you then! We also meet each 3rd Wednesday of the month to tie blankets in the Fellowship Hall from 1-3 pm. It’s fun and easy! Please join us!

Our very active LYDIA LWML group has made over 100 blankets since the inception of this ministry in July, 2022 which we have given to: Project Linus to benefit children in crisis in area schools 20 blankets; The Call in Bentonville to benefit NW Arkansas children going into foster care 20 blankets; NW Arkansas Children’s Shelter 38 blankets; and we have many more blankets waiting to be donated.
We continue to serve others with a new service mission each month, concentrating on congregational care and community outreach.

We joyfully serve our congregation with our annual Ladies Tea, Confirmation reception, Caring & Sharing ministry (frozen casseroles for our shut ins), Back to school goodies for our children, funeral dinners, Easter breakfast, VBS & Sunday School support, Pastor Appreciation Sunday, and Food Pantry support.

We keep a watchful eye on opportunities to serve our community thru Bright Futures school supply drive and our annual Autumn Place bingo event, bringing joy to the Assisted Living residents with a devotion and prizes.

We reach out to NW Arkansas by gathering congregational donations to fulfill the Christmas wish list from NW Arkansas Children’s shelter, and donating much needed toiletries and clothing for the children going into foster care thru The Call in Bentonville.
